First we have to return justice to the daily school environment. Bullying can not be tolerated, bad behavior has to be punished. As it is now, the school system is stacked against the victim. Who would even do this?
As a firearms instructor, I would never force anyone to be armed, not even my own family.
The aim is not to arm teachers, it is to create doubt and apprehension in potential school attackers. They, as a group, pick “soft” targets unlikely to shoot back. They don’t want to get shot. To protect schools there should be no way to tell if the janitor, cook, librarian, teacher or administrator is packing. It is the act of creating apprehension that protects the school. If any of the above don’t want to carry, that is fine because only if they are willing to use force to defend the school can they be useful.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. George Orwell
